“Transfer available” and “free private transfer included” are not the same sentence. On hotel pages a transfer service sometimes means only a vehicle that can be arranged for a fee. Especially with a night landing, travel with children or a distant resort, clarifying the details in advance saves the first day.
1. Free or paid?
Confirm in writing whether it is included in the total price and whether it covers one way or the return.
2. Private or shared?
A shared transfer can stop at other hotels. A 45-minute road on the map can take longer door to door.
3. Which airport?
If a destination can be reached from more than one airport, the offer may cover only a particular airport.
4. Does it wait if the flight is late?
Learn about flight-number tracking, the free waiting time and how you are contacted if there is a delay.
5. Is there a night difference?
Ask whether night or early-morning transfers carry an extra fee.
6. Child seat
Request it in advance with age and weight. Do not wait for it to be solved when the vehicle arrives.
7. Luggage
If there is a pushchair, ski equipment, a golf bag or many suitcases, state the vehicle capacity you need.
8. Meeting point
Does the driver wait with a name, is there a desk, or do you meet by phone? Think about the first minutes without internet access.
9. Return time
Judge the pickup time the hotel suggests together with the flight, traffic and airport procedure.
10. Alternative price
Compare the hotel transfer with a taxi, a shuttle and a car rental on total cost; do not look only at the first figure you see.
A last check before booking
Check the dates, the number of people and children’s ages, the room category, the board type, the cancellation deadline and the total amount payable one last time. For seasonal services and weather-dependent activities, confirm current information close to the trip directly with the relevant business or an official source.
